SUMMARY:Canadian Bison Association National Convention
DESCRIPTION:The Canadian Bison Association (CBA) will be hosting its 34th annual convention on November 19th and 20th and its 25th show and sale on November 21st in conjunction with Agribition.\nThe CBA National Convention continues to be the premier gathering in Canada of the bison industry. Bison producers and those interested in entering the industry as well as industry stakeholders from across Canada and the USA come together to network and gain valuable information about the industry to improve their operations.  We have assembled a great line-up of speakers and social activities that combined with the present optimism in the industry should attract over 200 bison enthusiasts. Speakers include: \n\nGabe Brown – One of the pioneers of current soil health movement which focuses on the regeneration of resources – Healthy Land\, Healthy Pastures\, Healthy Profits.\nDr. Pat Burrage – A veterinarian who provides services to bison producers will focus on bison health.\nJohn J. Hansen – From Turner Enterprises\, Mr. Hansen will share current information on beneficial strategies in their operations.\nDr. Terry Whiting – Will provide an interesting perspective on bison modernization.\nSteven and Michelle Lunty – Strong supporters of the bison industry\, they will provide an update on their ranching and marketing operation.\nClinton Monchuk – From Farm and Food Care\, Clinton will share information public trust in Agriculture.\nChris Dekker\, President and CEO of Saskatchewan Trade and Export Partnership will speak about trade developments and trade potential.\nDave Carter – Executive Director of the National Bison Association will team up with Terry Kremeniuk of the CBA and speak about “Bison 1 Million” campaign.\n\nIn addition to the convention presentations\, there is a children’s program\, a Junior Judging Program\, bison tasting\, an Awards Banquet and for those interested in purchasing outstanding genetics\, there is the Bison Sale on November 21st at the John Deere Sale Arena.\nTo learn more about this exciting event\, the speakers and to register go to: http://canadianbison.ca/producer/index.htm  You can also learn more by calling the Canadian Bison Association Office at 306-522-4766 or email cba1@sasktel.net.
