SUMMARY:2020 Canadian Crops Convention
DESCRIPTION:CONVENTION\nThe Canadian Crops Convention is an annual\, three day event hosted each March by the Canola Council of Canada and the Canada Grains Council. This event attracts people from across the grain\, oilseed\, pulse and special crop value chains to: \n\nnetwork\, coordinate and improve dialogue;\ndiscuss and gain insight into advancements and trends in agriculture; and\nbe inspired to continue a collaborative approach to advance the growth and profitability of Canadian crops.\n\nDuring these three important days\, you’ll have opportunities to make face-to-face connections with colleagues and customers from around the world in a business-focused environment. \nYour hosts\nThe Canola Council of Canada is the first industry association in Canada to encompass all links in the value chain. The CCC is building on the strengths of canola\, Canada’s greatest agricultural success story. \nThe Canada Grains Council represents grain industry interests on behalf of producers\, crop input companies\, grain companies\, processors\, end users\, government departments\, financial institutions\, regulatory agencies and others. The CGC coordinates efforts to increase the sale and use of Canadian grain in domestic and world markets. \nWhat to wear\nIn early March\, the average daily temperature in Vancouver is 4°C to 10°C. It’s the tail-end of rainy season so we recommend packing a jacket or umbrella. \nHere’s a quick list of dress code suggestions to consider when packing: \n\nCasual with warm\, water-repellant jackets for the Port Tour. The boat has areas that are heated and protected but you may also be able to go onto the deck.\nBusiness casual for the Welcome Reception and daytime plenary sessions.\nCasual (jeans are welcome!) for the Thursday evening event\, Connecting at CRAFT.\n\n
