Since 2008, the Elmer and Ona Hansen Memorial Fund Scholarship has awarded multiple $2,000 scholarships each year in honour of Elmer and Ona Hansen.
Thanks to the generosity, leadership, and passion of those incredible 4-H enthusiasts, the 4-H Foundation will now be able to award its largest scholarship yet.
Starting in 2018, the 4-H Foundation of Alberta will award ten (10) Elmer and Ona Hansen Memorial Fund Scholarships, worth a total of $80,000! The scholarships will be awarded as follows:
- First place will receive a $20,000 scholarship;
- Second place will receive a $15,000 scholarship;
- Third place will receive a $10,000 scholarship; and
- Fourth to tenth place will receive seven (7) scholarships at $5,000 each.
4-H Alberta is thrilled, honoured, and proud to continue the Hansen/ Ness Legacy in such a meaningful way!
