This session will review what the topics of succession, retirement, transition and planning, mean to individuals and farming families.  We may all have different definitions for these terms.

We will consider that the process of working through what the future looks like is more important than the actual technical steps required to make changes.

We will consider five critical questions that must be addressed in detail while planning.  Each of which allows the family and the farm business to proceeds forward with clarity.   We will identify key planning opportunities for each of these five questions that can be reviewed with the farmer’s advisors, arming them with the questions they need to ask.
The outcome of our sessions is to help clients create a list of priority action items that they need to follow up on to move their planning forward.
